Upcoming Events

English Council will be at the Bahia Hotel in San Diego for our Fall 2018 meeting October 10-12.

A detailed agenda will be posted before the conference.  Meanwhile, for planning purposes, here’s the general outline of events.

  • Wednesday evening 7:00-8:30 p.m  we will be meeting to get campus updates.  Snacks will be provided!
  • Thursday 8:00 a.m. breakfast and registration followed by panel presentations and breakout sessions 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Conversation will continue at our usual soiree, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Friday begins with continental breakfast at 8:30 followed by the business meeting, which ends no later than 11:30 a.m.

A link to reserve your room at the conference rate will be provided as soon as it becomes available.  Alternatively, you can call the hotel directly and let them know you are with English Council.  If you have any difficulty receiving the guaranteed room rate, contact English Council president Mary Ann Creadon.

Also please be sure to also send email to English Council treasurer Margaret Rustick  so she can prepare your registration materials.  Registration fees of $60 or $30 for first-time attendees will be collected Thursday morning at the conference, payable in cash or check–no debit or credit cards.  Receipts will be sent to the email address you provide when you notify Margaret your are planning to attend.  If you need to submit travel paperwork in advance, please contact Margaret and she can email statements.
